We are Competitive Edge Combat Sports located in Florence, South Carolina. We are a SAS team affiliate, and study Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Self-Defense. SAS team is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/MMA team located in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil under the leadership of Master Sazinho Sa, 7th Degree Black and Red Belt (black belt since 1985).

Francisco De Lucena Aragão
Jiu Jitsu Instructor
Francisco Aragão was born in 1987 and began training Jiu Jitsu at the age of 13 at SAS Team headquarters in Fortaleza Brazil. After many years of training he received his black belt in 2015 from the hands of his master and leader of SAS TEAM Sazinho Sá. In November 2016 Francisco was invited to the USA to lead the SAS Team in Florence SC at Competitive Edge Combat Sports academy.
Derek Pike
Muay Thai Instructor
Derek Pike, has studied the art all over the world and brings it home to us right here in Florence. Derek has a true passion for Muay Thai and it shows during his classes.

Our Mission is at Competitive Edge Combat Sports is to provide a safe, fun and clean environment for people of all skill levels to be able to come and learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, and Self defense.
